Raging storm

2011
08.31

If you experienced a raging storm like that of Ondoy, I am sure you will find having a steel storm shelter is the best option out there. We can’t do anything with a coming storm but prepare for it. Storms are acts of nature and out of our control. Best prepare for it than wait for it to happen before doing anything.

We are just lucky because our house is located at an elevated area so we are not prone to flooding. But not everyone has a place like ours. Whether you already have bad experience with storms or not, it is still best to prepare for it like it’s going to hit you anytime soon.

In other words, expect the worse. Better prepared for the worse than be complacent.

Water supply problem

2011
08.31

The condominium building where my cousin has a unit is having problems with water supply. My cousin comes over in the morning to use the bathroom at home. She told us that the building administration is doing something about it. My dad said that they just need to get WeGotPumps industrial pumps and it will help with getting a steady supply of water. If that does not help, then they need to call the water provider to have their pipes checked.

Water supply is very important. My cousin is now thinking of selling her unit and moving back home. The only thing stopping her from doing it is the traffic she has to tackle every day going to work.

Endangers than cures

2011

Instead of solving the problem of diabetes of Kyle, it endangered his life by giving him heart failure and increasing his risk to getting bladder cancer! There is really a need for him to file an Actos lawsuit as soon as possible! He cannot let this pass. A medicine for his diabetes, instead of curing him, endangered his life even more!

He will make sure that someone will pay for what happened to him. He will also make sure that nobody will be endangered like him anymore! If the medicine is causing so much damage in a patient’s body, more harm than good, then its distribution better be stopped!

Stay my heart..

2011
08.17

I know he misses me. He hasn’t realized it yet, but he does. His actions speak louder than his words. Hay…

Anyway, I watched a movie a while ago. And I somehow got jealous of those with someone. I have no problem being single. I enjoy it actually. But sometimes, when it is cold and lonely, you just want someone to hold your hand.

And it got me thinking of him again. I realized that no matter what, he’ll have this special place in my heart.

May he find true happiness. That wish is from the bottom of my heart.

Do you know what the key to happiness is?

2011

So you’re between the ages of 13 and 24. What makes you happy? A worried, weary parent might imagine the answer to sound something like this: Sex, drugs, a little rock ‘n’ roll. Maybe some cash, or at least the car keys.

Turns out the real answer is quite different. Spending time with family was the top answer to that open-ended question, according to an extensive survey — more than 100 questions asked of 1,280 people ages 13-24 — conducted by The Associated Press and MTV on the nature of happiness among America’s young people.

Next was spending time with friends, followed by time with a significant other. And even better for parents: Nearly three-quarters of young people say their relationship with their parents makes them happy.

Road to recovery

2011
08.17

Marco needs to recover from the accident he was in as soon as possible. He is needed at work. His neighbor accidentally threw a thick piece of log down the roof without looking if there’s a person who’d get hit. Luckily, Marco only suffered a broken arm. If not, Marco’s family shudders to think what would have happened if the log hit his head.

Marco is currently looking for an Austin personal injury lawyer who can help him settle his claims against his neighbor. The latter refuses to acknowledge his fault and Marco is not having any of that. He wants his neighbor to pay for the medical bills he incurred due to the latter’s fault.

Thank goodness Marco is now on the road to recovery. If not, he will also be asking his neighbor to compensate for the days he missed work!

Oh, Baby, I

2011
08.17

A couple of years ago, when I was still in high school, my sisters and I used to sleep in the room on the first floor of the house. The rest of the family slept upstairs. We were fans of this radio show every 10PM on weekdays. We would listen to it until midnight, when the radio station signs off for the day. Because we were supposed to sleep early and my dad checked on us every 30 minutes or so, we would huddle on the bed and listen to the radio with the volume turned really low. It was pretty hilarious!

I was reminded of those days because I heard the song Oh, Baby, I. This song was the number 1 hit that time, and would be played again and again every hour.

When my sisters and I would reminisce about those days, we laugh so much until tears fall down our face. It was one of the best times of our lives!

Couples getting married

2011
08.13

Three couples in the area where I live are getting married before the year ends. It’s big news here in our place because it’s been years since someone got married. The couples will be tying the knot in successive weeks so we are all excited about the big events that will happen by then.

As a gift to the marrying couples, the local community leaders offered to give them triton wedding bands. It’s a gift from the community they’ve lived in since they were very young. Most of my neighbors have been here in the area since their grandparents were little kids. That includes our family. No wonder families here are valued just as if we founded this area.

Getting a dozen insurance plans

2011
08.12

Oh yes, there’s another errand I have to do for my Mom. We will be getting a dozen insurance plans for her part-time employees! Wholesale Insurance is what I will be looking into while I am also doing other things at home. I know how important an insurance plan is. I know that should something happen, there is always a Plan B on standby for each person in my Mom’s payroll. That is an important thing for her.

It’s errands weekend for me. I’m off to start ticking off one item after another on the list!

Happy weekend!

Stay at home this weekend

2011
08.12

I have to stay at home this weekend. My friends are asking me to join them in a weekend getaway but since my mom asked me to stay, I had to decline their invitation. Mom asked me to help her with the water softener and we will also be doing some general cleaning. We are also going to do some grocery shopping since this Sunday we will be entertaining guests at home.

Maybe next weekend I can go on a getaway. But for now, it’s stay at home and helping the Mom.
