High school friends

2011
05.27

I don’t know with you but the friends that I got from high school are the ones I am the best of friends with until now. I have both boys and girls as friends and even though there are lulls in our communication, when we see each other again, it’s like we just talked yesterday! There are so many things to talk about and so many people we all know. They are also the ones who know me personally, even my family.

It took us a while to determine which of us are going to be the closest. There were so many of us in a group back in high school. But now, since some are already living with their own families abroad, four of us became really close. We regularly meet each other over lunch, dinner and coffee. We go to the mall and stroll around. We even went on an out of town trip once and stayed overnight in a hotel for a send off party to one of us.

I miss them so much when I don’t see them in two to three weeks. I am happy to tell you that we are going to see each other tomorrow night for dinner and coffee.

Can’t wait!

Best web hosting company

2011
05.26

My friend Derek is looking for the best web hosting company who can provide him with great service. He needs a reliable web hosting company and he needs to find one as soon as possible. He is a freelance web consultant and one of his clients want him to build a web site for a start-up company that he just launched. He is also asking for three more web sites to be hosted on the same hosting plan Derek will get for him. So Derek searched and he found WebHostingSites.com a site offering true reviews of web hosting companies.

When you go to the web site, you will immediately see the list of the 10 Most Popular Web Hosting Sites. There’s WebHostingHub which tops the list and has a really affordable rate per month and a 90-day back guarantee. Second is InmotionHosting. Third spot goes to GoDaddy which is quite familiar to me. And the list goes on.

The sites Derek will be building for his client are interactive sites. It will feature not only the business but also the people behind it. The visitors will get to chat live with the CEO of the company (who is Derek’s client himself). And there’s a lot more! The three web sites in addition to the business site will be for each of the new products that will soon be launched as well. That’s why Derek wants to find the best web hosting service in the market. He cannot let his client down. He’s been one of the first ones he got when he opted to go freelance.

So going back to WebHostingSites.com, it not only offers real hosting reviews but also an input on finding the best domain name. A domain name is like your business address on the web so you better make sure it truly represents your company and what it stands for. Or you will find yourself not being taken seriously by potential customers. Derek is happy he found WebHostingSites.com and that he is being reminded of so many things he needs to take into consideration. He is still choosing from among the top 10 web hosting companies in the list and he will choose one today. He is looking into bandwidth, accessibility, capacity, the servers’ reliability and support. The last one is very important to him because he doesn’t want to find himself groping in the dark when something happens to the sites he’ll put in the web hosting account. He wants 24/7 technical support. He is also looking into what others say about the web hosting company. It will give him a lot of input as to what the company is like.

Hey, if you are also looking for a reliable web hosting company like my friend Derek, I suggest you go check out WebHostingSites.com now. I will be checking it out, too.

Taking things easy

Relaxing

I plan to take things easy this weekend. I’ve been working almost every weekend since the year started and although I must admit that there were weekends spent tinkering online, I was still sitting in front of the computer rather than on a chaise lounge sipping a cold drink!

This weekend, that’s what I plan to do. Take things slow. Relax. Breathe. Stop working and focus on recharging for the next work week ahead.

Printing project

2011
05.26

Sally is our purchasing officer in the office. Since she doesn’t have much to do this coming two weeks, she was tasked by the big boss to take care of the company’s need for direct mail printing. There is an ongoing campaign that the marketing department is doing and they need the help of key personnel in the office.

I will be helping them with organizing an event that will be attended to by business affiliates and some potential investors. I am heading the team in planning the event and making sure that there is enough materials around that the attendees can use to know the company more.

The thrill it brings…

skip

This guy in my Facebook friends list keeps calling me by a different name. Instead of being annoyed with it, I kinda wait for it to happen again and again. I like it! It actually thrills me whenever he does that. It makes me want to start skipping and giggling!

I kept telling one of my friends that how come I didn’t notice him before?! Now that he’s thousand miles away…

I didn’t even notice how sensitive or good looking he is. How come it took me this long to notice?!?

Gaahhh

Double check!

2011
05.14

Sally has a list of things that she has to do before she can go on with her personal trip abroad. Her mom and dad gave her a separate list which has a number of things to be done as well that includes getting rv repairs. Her parents will be going fishing and they will bring their rv with them. They want some stuff bought and some errands will have to be done for them.

She will be gone for a week or two and Sally doesn’t want to go and leave her parents running errands. So even if she might find herself cramming up to the last minute before she boards her flight, she will complete her tasks and double check if she’s able to do everything her parents asked her to.

Tight budget

2011
05.03

Whenever I find myself in a tight budget situation, I turn to payday advance. It’s a short-term small personal loan/cash advance. It’s a way for me to make both ends meet when the next paycheck is still a few days away.

Going to friends and relatives for loan can be embarrassing at times. There are even instances when you will hear something hurtful from them. To avoid instances like that I figured I might as well make use of payday advances rather than get a personal loan from someone I know. Anyway, I can pay the advance come next payday…

Auntie Patti’s MIL

2011
05.03

My Auntie Patti married the man of her teenage dreams a year ago. She was already 33 when she got married and the man, my new uncle, was already 34. They were schoolmates back in their high school days and my aunt had a huge crush on him! They met again after almost two decades at a resort. They were both with co-workers. They bumped into each other, my aunt recognized him right away, and they talked. They talked for hours and, well, they say the rest is history.

I can say that Auntie Patti is lucky not only to have married the man of her teenage dreams but also to get a really kind mother-in-law (MIL) as well. Actually, all her in-laws are good to her. They love her! Her MIL is not your typical type since she treats her more like a daughter than an in-law. My aunt would like to show her appreciation for the treatment she gets from her MIL that’s why she’s adamant to get the best christmas gift for mother in law last December. And she did!

Auntie Patti is living her dreams now. We all wish that she stay as happy as she is and will forever be loved by everyone around her, including her in-laws.

Georgia’s dilemma

2011
05.03

Georgia is our next-door neighbor. She will be attending a debut party tomorrow night. Her dilemma is this… how to get rid of pimples overnight! She has two pimples, one on her nose and the other on her left cheek. She hates it when she gets one and always when she’s going to attend an important event.

She is now debating whether to go to a dermatologist to have her pimples pricked and medicated or to just cover it up with a concealer and see if she can pull it off.
