Market love

2010

To be able to see what’s happening at the park at the front of the building, he used his binoculars. There was a market set up that’s why there’s so many people in the park! He hurriedly dressed and decided to check out the market.

I love those dry and flea markets! I especially love the food offered and the novelty items you can see in it. I just don’t like that I impulsively buy so many things that I end up cluttering my place after a trip to the market. He-he-he!

General cleaning

2010
07.30

There was a general cleaning at home last week. My dad wanted us to clear the bookshelves and closets and get rid of those we’re no longer using. I found so many old college textbooks of mine. I had it donated to the local library. It could benefit students of the same course. The old clothes were given to a local convent who’s also a charity.

My dad wants us to do this every month or every two months. Check out our things and give to charity or the community what we’re not using anymore. But only those still in good condition, of course.

Writing and writing!

2010
07.20

Writing and writing and writing! It seems that it’s all I’m doing lately. I’m up from midnight to noon almost daily. Then at least three to four hours of sleep and then I am up again. It’s been like that for the past couple of weeks now that I think I might be in great need of the best eye cream already.

Anyway, let me just clarify here that I am not complaining. I thrive on this kind of set-up. I love my work and it’s the reason why I am up at night. And if it meant more and more work coming in, then I am very much willing to go sleepless as much as I can.

Calendars everywhere!

calendars

It’s funny that we have so many calendars at home. Now that I noticed it, I think we have a calendar in every corner of our house. We get so many calendars during the holidays and New Year’s celebration. Instead of giving most away, we keep it. I don’t know what the fascination with calendars is but I think we can qualify for the house with the most calendars in it.

Difficult pregnancy

2010
07.11

Shiva is having a difficult pregnancy. Her doctor advised her to take a liquid prenatal vitamin and take lots of rest. If she will encounter another setback, she will be advised bed rest for at least three months.

I can understand what Shiva is going through. A very good friend of mine was also advised to rest for three whole months. Good thing her company allowed her to take a leave of absence that long. She was able to go back to work after but just two weeks and she’s back on bed rest again until her due date.

They say that when a woman is pregnant, one foot is inside her grave already. It is that dangerous! So follow doctor’s orders for a safe pregnancy and delivery.

Looking good for the cruise

red bikini

I am doing ab workouts to prepare for our Caribbean cruise. I plan to wear my red bikini there. Can you feel my excitement?

Of course there will be other persons there and I want to look my best. It’s a singles cruise and who knows, I might meet the man of my dreams in that cruise. So looking good is a must. I plan to enjoy that trip and come out of it a changed woman.

Broken trusts

2010
07.11

Jessie is getting his sister the best prenatal vitamins. Jessie’s sister is a single mom. She mistakenly trusted a close friend and thought that he would be the right man for her. He got her pregnant and then left her after. So Jessie is now left to help her sister through her pregnancy. Who else will help her when they have been orphans since they were in their teens?

Trust is volatile. It can be easily broken. In Jessie’s sister’s case, it can’t be repaired anymore. She’s given one trust too many already and she’s wary of the broken trusts she feels she’s not going to give it to anyone for a long, long time.

Shouldering the cost of boots

2010
07.11

I can’t remember saying that I will shoulder the condo group’s polo boots but their leader, who’s a good friend, said that I mentioned it one time and now they’re asking if I can already make good my promise.

So I shelled out some of my paycheck money to finance the group’s boots. I was told that my money won’t go to waste because they are the champion last year and they plan to be the champion again this year. Plus, the boots will be used for as long as it’s serviceable.

I actually am happy to help. Especially I am helping out of school youths get back their lives and start anew.

Plans mapped out

2010
07.03

plansI have so many plans I need to put into action. Some are easily doable, the others are harder to accomplish.

My best friend has this 5-year plan mapped out. Every year he evaluates where he is already in his plans and he would re-work his plan in such a way that it is still applicable to his situation. Then he will continue working to achieve it. About a year ago, we talked about his plan of getting a condo unit for him and his wife. It was just a plan back then, he is now living in one. He also has his own car already.

I don’t envy him his work and his title. I don’t envy him his loans he’s paying right now. I just envy his plans and his ways to achieve it.

I don’t map out the next five years of my life. I don’t have a concrete plan of achieving my goals for the year. I just go with the flow. I do believe that sometimes when you plan everything accordingly, the elements conspire against you so you won’t achieve your goals. But hey, that’s just me! Look where my friend is now. He doesn’t believe in my belief :(

Good masseuse

2010
07.03

I was teasing one of the staff in the office about putting up massage tables in the office. She’s really good! Whenever she sees someone in our department stressed out and their back’s aching, she would ask if he/she wants a massage. And boy do it eases back pains! Some people in the office would ask her to massage them and they would give her food or some other thing because she doesn’t accept the money given to her.

She told me that she started massaging her parents and grandparents when she’s just seven. It was just a joke back then that turned out real because she has a natural talent in massaging people. I told her she’d get rich if she focused on that. I think she’s seriously considering it.

Coping with stress

2010
07.03

Dani has this funny way of coping with stress: she eats chocolates while reading hydroxycut reviews. She’s been obsessing over her weight but instead of doing something about it, she does the opposite. She eats more!

I know others who do that. I eat a lot when I am stressed out or angry. My cousin eats a lot when she feels so tired. My best friend devours food when he is pressured at work. Dani does the same thing. She eats a lot to combat stress, depression and insecurity. It’s bad and she feels she need to talk to a professional about it.

Blog themes

2010
07.03

I saw this blog theme where the woman is writing on a journal. It made me want to purchase it right then and there for this blog! Too bad I don’t have enough in my Paypal account to buy it. I wonder why some blog themes are just so darn expensive when the header is so simple and the template used was taken from some other theme.

If I only know how to code a theme, I would have been in that business. I know how to design one. I know what looks good and what suits a blog based on the overall theme of it. I just don’t know how to code and to draw a vector or do that scrap thing.

Oh well, I think I’ll stick to writing on my journals. Hehe
