Suicide and journals

Marie Osmond’s son committed suicide. He was only 18 years old. He’s been battling depression for years and felt like he had no friends and cannot connect with anybody. It was really sad to read about it. So many people had committed suicide over the years due to depression. They felt like they had no one to talk to, no one to listen to them.

I have maintained my stand on suicide. It is never an option. There is always a solution to whatever problem you are facing. There’s always someone somewhere ready to listen to you, ready to talk about things with you.

I read somewhere that a journal is the best way to express one’s feelings, good or bad. If you feel like you can’t trust anybody with your emotions, you don’t have anybody to talk to or listen to you, nobody cares about you, go get a journal! Write down your innermost thoughts. Write down everything you can’t tell another person because either no one cares enough to hear about it or you just don’t trust anybody about it. After writing it down, trust me, you can feel a lightening of the burden you are carrying within you.

So much to do

Today is the last day of February for this year. How time flies! Before you know it, Lent is done and we’re all preparing to buy mothers day gifts already. One more month and the first quarter of 2010 is over.

I am ticking off my list of goals for this year and so far, only one is done. I still have a long list to accomplish. Double time, work harder! There’s still so much to do.

Cheesy!

I was amused to see the custom mugs given to each other by my friend and her boyfriend. It was cheesy! I guess when you are in love, you do the cheesiest things. Ha! Ha!

I remember another friend had a shirt custom made with words “I’m sorry please forgive me” written in bold letters at the front and back of it. When her girlfriend saw it, their lover’s quarrel ended then and there. Worked like magic! I wish this does not happen to me!

Winning the jackpot

I have a fervent wish to win the lottery. Hit the jackpot! There was a recent draw done locally and the prize money amounted to Php 200M+! Yes, it was that big. That money could have been mine…

No, the money is not for me. Some of it probably but it will mostly go to my family. My grandma’s medical bills. I want her thoroughly checked by specialists. The jackpot money will also go to my dad and my siblings. I want equal share for everyone. Some of it will go to older relatives for their health funds.

I am not being noble or anything. I just want a comfortable life for those that I love. I want to see them strong and healthy and happy. That’s enough for me to be happy as well.

Prevention

Sick

It is time for me to take a multivitamin to improve my immune system. I just feel sick all the time. I know it is caused by lack of sleep and from stress. I don’t want to get sick and they say that prevention is better than cure. I might as well take a multivitamin to make sure that I won’t easily get sick when there are people sick around. And even if I am always working at odd hours. Plus the fact that I lack sleep.

Worth paying for

Some things are worth paying for. If you need one-way links to your blog, go to a paid web directory. Pay up and list your site there. It will give your traffic a boost. It will give you the much-needed juice to up your site in the rankings game. And when it does, it will mean increased income to your site.

A meager fee will turn into a lot of money, thousand-fold. Are you prepared to shell out some money in exchange for an increase in your site’s income?

Fit into the dress

Hannah can’t fit into the lovely dress she bought for the big event in their company. She will have to adjust the hook of the dress to accommodate her. She is asking around for a quick weight-loss product she can pop in. Anyway, it’s still a week and a half before the event. So even a pound or two will be a big deal for her to lose.

In times like these, I thank God that I don’t really mind not being able to wear a dress. I am more comfortable with jeans and shirts. I know there will be times when I might need to wear a dress or a gown. If I do, I’d wear something flattering to my figure and make it sure that it fits me just fine.

Journals and me

journals

I love journals. In fact, I have a lot of it at home. Some I have written a few lines on, some are still untouched until now. I just love looking at it and the thought that I have a couple ready to be written on. Weird but it’s true.

I have one that I turned into a semi-scrapbook. But since the lazy me is more comfortable writing using the computer, I have stopped using that journal now. It’s still with me, together with old books I have, stored in a big clear box. One of these days, I will start using these journals. For what, I don’t know yet.

Outbreaks

It is scary what diseases you can get from just about anywhere. Remember during that SARS outbreak? I was so tempted to get a couple of NC short term health insurance for me and every member of my family. Then came the bird flu. And the other diseases that were all well-publicized.

Can you really blame me for being scared? I am sure there were others who were as scared as I am when these diseases came about. Health is important. Being sick these days can cost you a lot of money. I am sure you don’t want that to happen, aside from the fact that you don’t want to see your love one suffering.

Youthful looking

I love watching this local show hosted by a 50-something lovely lady who looks like she’s only 30. The last episode I watched, she dished out about a natural acne treatment as well as a way to detox yourself safely. You can really see that she is applying everything she’s dishing out in her show to herself. If there is someone who can best demo all those natural treatments she’s teaching her viewers, it’s her!

I wish I can age as gracefully as her. She is the epitome of youthful looking lady.

Overweight

My ideal weight should have been near 100 lbs. More or less. I am overweight by 80 lbs! My aunt keeps on reminding me to take weight loss supplements, exercise regularly and be mindful of what I eat. I am trying to cut down on carbs, believe me, but it is too hard! Especially since I am working at odd hours nowadays.

I know it isn’t an excuse. I shouldn’t be using it as an excuse to eat more. But there are days when I do use it as an excuse to eat a little bit more than usual. I have cut down on some. Rice is still the top on my list of food I should not be eating too much of anymore.
