Medical check-up

2010

My friend, Jhing, was supposed to start working for a big telecoms company but during her medical check-up, she was found to have hemorrhoids. No problem there, according to the doctor and the human resources officer of the telecoms company. She will start as soon as the hemorrhoids is gone.

She applied some hemorrhoids creams and was in the process of getting rid of it. After that, in a week’s time I guess, she will start a new job at the telecoms company.

Feeling sick

sick

There are days when I feel sick even when there’s no outward sign that I am. I think my immune system is down due to my schedule of work and sleep. You see, I got used to sleep for 3-4 hours and then waking up to work. I would take a nap in the afternoon and would sleep really early like around 9PM so I can get up at midnight, or even 30 minutes before. I then go back to sleep around 5 or 6 in the morning for my 4 hours sleep. It’s not good for my body, I know. But it’s the way I work.

Vitamins and minerals. Plus healthy food. That’s what I need!

Loud discussion

My girl friends and I were discussing the different weight loss products we know. It was over dinner and we didn’t even know we were already loud until the restaurant manager approached us. That’s when we saw that the patrons of the restaurant were looking in our direction because they thought we were already arguing about who’s more overweight than whom.

It was embarrassing! We had to stop talking for a good 10 minutes before we resumed our discussion in softer voices. Lesson learned: do not talk at the same time, especially when there’s ten of you at a table!

Quick-tempered

I easily get angry. My brother told me he’d see his classmate because they would get a KVM switch they need. They did. But not after going somewhere else. I was worried because I knew they were just a couple of blocks away but he got home quite late already. He didn’t even send a text message telling me that he had a detour.

I reprimanded him and lectured him about the importance of texting me if there is a change of plans. He was quiet all the time and would just nod or say yes. I regretted the outburst, of course. I know my brother will have to learn to live life on his own and that I am here to guide him only. But being worried can make you angry sometimes. It’s just too bad I am quick-tempered and was worried for hours.

Excuses, excuses

2010

If you want something done, you need to find ways to do it. You know what they say, if there’s a will, there’s a way. And that is right. If you don’t want to do something, you find excuses after excuses to give. I know a lot of people who are like that.

Ken is always telling us that he will have his acne treated. You know we buss cheeks when we see each other. It’s a bit icky when you think of it. But being a friend, we keep telling him to have it treated. There’s an adult acne treatment available for him. He just needs to find some time to do it.

I don’t know what his excuse will be the next time we see him again.

Perfect combination

laptopmusic

I can work better when the music is on. I know others are like me, music stimulates our minds. It just varies depending on our individual tastes in music. Mine’s leaning toward smooth jazz and R&B. When I am working, mellow music is the best.

It’s the perfect combination for me. Music and the sound of my laptop keys. Both sounds inspires me to work even more.

What inspires you to work?

Place of hangout

2010

My friend’s mom bought modern benches for their first floor living room. It’s really cool because we get to hang out there most weekends and my friend’s mom really factors in our comfort when she bought the benches. Their house is our official place of hangout since high school so that’s probably why she treats us like family already.

That’s one of the things I love with high school friends. Since I know them for over a decade and a half already, they feel more like family. I know them really well unlike my other “new” friends. I get to hang out with them not as much as I used to but when we see each other, it’s like time didn’t pass at all.

Do you feel that way with your friends, too?
