Goodbye January, Hello February!

HelloFeb

In just a few more minutes, it will be the second month of the year already. Yay! Time is flying by so fast, don’t you think? Imagine, the year is already 31 days old. To think that I waited for Christmas to come for a long time. Ha-ha-ha

Let’s all welcome February with open arms. Stay positive. If there had been problems this January, leave it there and start anew this coming month.

Eat. Live. Love. Pray.

Get-together

The Dolan Designs is the only lighting brand in my boss’ home. We went there for some get-together. Just him and a select few from the office. It was sort of a political gathering because it turned out he’s campaigning to be voted as company representative to the HQ Summit. I don’t know if I will be annoyed or amused. I opted to feel the latter for a more positive vibe.

The only salvaging aspect of the night was the house tour. I was really in awe of the place! I thought it was his own but I was told that it was a rental and it was fully furnished when he moved in.

Oh well.

Impressed!

There were VIPs who visited the office last month. They were there for the green shopping campaign. It turns out that they were former company officers who made it their advocacy to encourage businesses to go green.

I was impressed by their presentation. They are really helping the environment by teaching key officers of a company on how they can ensure that the raw materials a business is using is biodegradable. I wish I can do something equally important.

Update

I apologize to the few people who happen to read my blog. I haven’t been updating much. The only reason I can give you is that I don’t have much to say.

But now, I have so much to tell you. I have already scheduled some posts to be published within the week. So I am hoping you will still come visit, leave a comment, or simply wait for whatever it is I have to say ;)

Happy blogging!

Family

There’s a park a few blocks away where you can park your motorhomes. My friend told me that it is where they usually spend their weekends with their family friends and relatives. It’s a good place to bond with the family because you can do your picnics there, barbecue at night, and even build a campfire for the teens.

It is great to see how families do spend time together to be able to strengthen their bond with one another. I am a firm believer that when the going gets tough, the ones who will loyally stand by you is your family. That’s why I do find time to spend with them as much as I can.

Time to save up!

The SUV has no car insurance yet and I am left to take care of it. It should have been automatically renewed, the SUV’s insurance, but since my dad wanted to save on some expenses, I am getting a new quote from our insurance agent.

My dad just told us that we will need to cut back on our expenses this year so we can save up. I am all for saving up so I am helping my dad find ways on how to do it.

Deflect the reflection

I’m definitely getting a good quality blinds for my home-office corner. I get blinded by the light reflected by the mirrors outside my corner. My eyes were getting all blurry again, more than ever, and my head was pounding for days. To avoid that, I am getting myself some blinds.

I wear prescription glasses since I was in second year high. From then on, my eyesight became poorer each passing day.

Freak accident

Someone from grade school before had his legs almost amputated because of a freak accident. The accident took his calves on his legs and left him limp. He needs a muscle builder to help him restore the muscle he lost and to get him to walk straight again.

I remember that he used to be heckled because of it. The robot, he was called, because he walked like one with his metal strips and all. I saw him in a social networking site and I am glad to say that he got his legs back and is now happily married with two kids.

Not contagious?

My uncle used to have eczema. It was not pleasant to look at. When you see it, you’d feel like scratching yourself because of the itchiness. He cured it, spending a lot on creams that he used. Good thing it paid off. He is now eczema-free for a decade already!

If you suspect you have a skin disease, consult your doctor right away. You don’t want to be contagious, right? Or worse, you don’t want people to be disgusted with what’s ailing your skin!

Determination to lose

I remember how the South Beach diet created waves of interest in the country. A lot of people got into it. I was even tempted if it weren’t for the weight loss dietary supplement that my aunt told me about.

I know that the diet worked for some people. But I have a theory on those diet programs… the effectiveness is all in the mind! It is YOU who’s making yourselves lose weight and not the diet itself. Sure, there’s a chemical reaction that they say certain types of food stimulate in your mind. My take on this is it is your determination to lose weight is the one that is effective.
