I am craving for this pizza. A crepe-inspired pizza complete with Nutella, bananas, nuts and a pizza bun. Yum! Here’s hoping I can get my hands on one this coming weekend…
Happy Friday!
A thoughtlog of a confused person about life’s happenings, work and play, and everything in between.

Happy Friday!
It’s really amazing what other people can think about and invent. Like the electronic cigarette. Who would have thought, right?
I first heard of this electronic cigarette from a guy friend. He is using it. He is a heavy smoker and someone suggested he try e-cigarettes. He liked it because he gets more smoke, more puffs with less mess and cost.
I am not a smoker but I live by the rule “to each his own”. Hey, if e-cig is making my friend tick, then so be it! Reading and maintaining a journal make me tick. And he’s okay with it, too.
I must admit that I am an average student when it comes to numbers. I may have been lucky enough to go into the field of Finance, but that doesn’t mean I became an expert. I know some but not a lot. And I am honest enough to tell those who think otherwise.
Like an older relative who wanted to know my opinion on rop life insurance. I know life insurance per se. But return of premium on insurance I am unfamiliar with. So instead of giving the relative misleading and confusing information, I called up a colleague of mine to tell her more about what she needs information for.
Families go to a park somewhere out of the city on weekends. A friend of mine told me that motorhomes are parked in the area where families spend time on barbecue parties and having fun. My friend knew about it because his boss assigned him in getting motorhome towing clients. He is working for a research and development company and they are cooking up something about motorhomes.
When my friend was telling me about his work, I realized that I miss going on picnics with the family. This coming November 1st is a holiday in the country. I am hoping that we could go out and have some bonding time as a family, probably go to a park somewhere near or to the beach if we feel so inclined.
Our neighbors, the Sorianos, love to go places. I remember I visited them one time and they have this list of places they want to go to, mostly places in the countryside. And because they love the life in the countryside more than the one they have in the city, they are putting up a place there. They are now looking at manufactured homes that they can easily put up in the place they are getting.
In all honesty, I am a city girl. But I have this dream of settling in the countryside when the time comes for me to quit the city life. The city is not conducive to healthy living anymore. What better place to settle during the golden years of your life than in the countryside, right?

I have a busy day ahead of me. I was asked at home to get refrigerator water filters and several rugs. The latter will be replacement for the ones that we currently have. And then I have to run another errand for my boss. She asked me to talk to a vendor regarding granting us credit. After work, I have to go see a friend regarding her upcoming wedding where I will be a bridesmaid (again!).
But don’t get me wrong. I am actually not complaining. A busy day gets me excited. I love that I don’t have an idle time. It makes me feel like the day is flying by, rather than a not so busy day where the day feels like it’s dragging by.
A couple of business plan consultants visited the office to see my boss. I was invited to attend the meeting, not knowing what exactly it will be about. It turned out that our company will be merging with a small firm and that our company will emerge as the surviving firm. It was privileged information and I was surprised my boss let me in on it.
That meeting actually made my day. It just goes to show that my boss trusts me. She even hinted I might be taking on an important role in the transition period. Yes!
My family and I went to a family friend’s dinner party. It was a blast! It started around three in the afternoon and ended around one in the morning. It was supposedly only for dinner but since we all thought of going early to have some time for catch up, it turned out to be an almost all evening event.
I was able to talk to my childhood friend who arrived from the Bahamas. She now works there as a resort manager. She looked stunning! I was so insecure when I first saw her. I kept thinking that this girl does not need any wrinkle cream because her skin is tight-looking! And so tanned. I was pale in comparison.
But when we were already talking, my insecurities took a backseat. She was the same friend of mine from my youth. Still a beauty inside and out. She even invited me to come to Bahamas this summer and she’ll take care of everything when I get there. I just might take her up on that.
My cousin, Darren, will be undergoing training on insurance marketing techniques. Aside from the training, he is also busy with his personal business venture. Can you imagine this guy’s hard work? I can’t even properly manage my time in one endeavor! What more with two?
Oh, and he is still single. His parents, my uncle specifically, is a CEO of a top multinational firm in the country. But instead of depending on his parents for his living, he opted to do things on his own. Always asking for advices from his parents, of course. He is a good son and a very enterprising person, very much like his dad.
Halo by Beyonce, the queen diva of fierceness! I just love the way this girl handles her career. Quiet with her personal life but really fierce when it comes to her songs and performances. Sasha Fierce indeed!
