I know I can get life insurance quotes online. That’s why when my uncle’s life insurance expired and he asked me to get new quotes for him, I didn’t do it right away. I had a lot of things to do at the moment. I told him that we could get it in a jiffy but I will do it this coming weekend. I guess he believes in my capacity so he just shrugged his shoulders and told me to do what I have to do and he’ll just wait for me to hand it over to him.

When I was still working for a BPO, I used to go out with girl friends on Thursday nights. Why Thursday, you might ask? It’s the Girls Night Out! A bar we frequent had this promo every Thursday nights wherein girls can order a drink and get another choice of drink for free! You bet we took advantage of it back then.

Why would you get someone you are not even close with as a godfather to your son?

I was annoyed at a neighbor who got my brother to be her son’s godfather. They don’t even know each other except that they’re neighbors who hardly see or greet each other. Then all of a sudden, my dad told him that he was to be the godfather of her son. Huh?!?

I have nothing against this. In fact, I am glad if one of us gets to be chosen as a godparent to any kid in the neighborhood. Except that I know why she got my brother. She and her friends have a huge crush on him! I know this for a fact because they are flaunting it. My dad’s been intercepting love letters thrown inside our gate (no kidding!), plus two of my aunts have been told about this by one of them. I know that they wanted my brother to attend to get a chance to be with him even for a few hours. And that really pissed me off big time!

My brother’s in college. I have no plans for him to get entangled with a neighborhood girl. Please! These girls have no degree to speak of, no jobs, and are thorns on the barangay’s side.

Call me a bitch for not making my brother attend the christening! I really didn’t! I don’t want my brother to be associated with these people. I am hoping that he finish college and get a job/get a life before settling down. Which will never happen if he gets to be chummy with them.

And by the way, I will be the one to give money/gifts to the kid during special occasions since my brother has yet to earn his own money.
