Addicted to Facebook

Addicted to Facebook

Are you?

Most people these days has at least a Friendster or Facebook account. Most likely the latter. I have both. But I just opened a Facebook account recently. My friends were teasing me about it, having been “late” in discovering FB.

To tell the truth, I almost opened an account when it was just starting and the buzz was going around about how cool the site is. But I have this fear of getting addicted to it. Like what happened to me when I started blogging. I spent almost 90% of my free time on the net, bloghopping like crazy. I’m afraid it will happen again in FB.

So far, since I opened an account, I have sought out really close friends only. I don’t intend to compete with people who are there for popularity and notoriety. I just want to connect with friends especially I am online most of the time.

Do you have a Facebook account?

Looking forward…

patio

I am looking forward to chilling out with my closest girl friends next week. It’s my birthday week so I am inclined to have fun, instead of telling myself to save up. No, I won’t be spending every dime I have. I’ll just be out for some girl talk and a good meal. Most likely lunch since I can’t go out at night due to work.

The sun and the patio are calling my name…

Happy Friday!

Battle of the bulge

Ahhh… it’s time to hoard that best weight loss pills now! I am turning a year older in a few days and it seems I have gained weight even more! I have to seriously start thinking about my health. Not so much as being slim but more of being healthy now that I am not getting any younger. I’ve been battling the bulge for years and years. Even before when I was still in my teens. I managed to get the upper hand about two years ago but lost it again. And the battle rages on…

I do hope that by next year, I will get the upper hand again and will never lose it anymore.

My Sister's Keeper

mysisterskeeper

Definitely the next one on my To Read list. My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult. No, I will not be reading this because of the movie. I would like to watch it, yes. But the reason why I got interested with the book is because I’ve been reading good reviews about it.

Plus, I am a sucker for family drama novels.

New laptop computer?

I am seriously considering buying a new laptop computer. The one I am using right at this very moment is acting up and I want a back up. I love using my laptop more and the sound of the tap of the keys inspires me to write more entries. Weird? But that’s how it is. I am using my desktop from time to time but when I have quite a number of posts to write, I always turn to my laptop computer. A back up is a must for me. Plus I am thinking of giving this old one to my brother, or for the use of everyone at home.

Hmm… I think I want a Vaio next.

Hoarding

I was amazed by the amount of unused items we found at my cousin’s bedroom. You wouldn’t believe that at least two racks of brand new clothes were just sitting in her closet, wasting away. Obviously, my cousin is a hoarder. She buys stuff by the bulk, especially when there’s a sale going on.

But now she’s having a hard time managing her finances, someone advised her to use free online auctions to dispose some of her still unused clothes so she can at least get back the cost of it. It’s a good advice since my cousin really needs the money now that she’ll soon give birth to her first baby. I just hope she’ll use the funds for her soon-to-be-baby, and not to hoard more items.

Doing great

I don’t know if you’ve noticed it as well but lately, I’ve been seeing my Alexa rank doing great despite the slow traffic. It probably has something to do with the prettier and livelier theme. Or with the regular updates here. Or it might have something to do with the memes I join every other week.

Regardless, I am happy that the previous almost 10M Alexa rank is now up to 3.4M!

Yey! ;)

Watching movies alone

I love watching movies. Most of the time with friends or my siblings. But there are also days when I feel like watching alone.

movies_alone

I remember a friend looking at me like she’s sorry for me when I told her that I’m used to watching movies. It got me laughing so hard and left her wondering why I find it okay to be alone. I told her that it’s no big deal. I even eat alone at a diner and I don’t mind at all. But she can’t imagine herself doing such. Now, I pity her.

Personally, being alone feels like it makes me stronger. Not all the time, okay? I mean at least I know how to function by myself. I can manage on my own. I don’t need anyone to live. Some people find it pitiful but for me, it is being free!

Patio girl talk

I went to my friend’s house last night. Their place is just a block away from mine so I can go there anytime I want to. The reason why I love going to my friend’s house because, aside from the fun girl talk, I love their patio! Their patio furniture is so comfy, perfect for a fun girl talk coupled with bottles of ice cold beer or hot mugs of tea. I often invite myself over just to spend an hour or two at their patio. It is my place of fun and relaxation.

Mellow music = Lethargic

My sister kept telling me that I should stop listening to mellow music while working. According to her, it evokes lethargy. The truth is, I love having mellow music in the background when I work. It relaxes me and inspires me most of the time. Though my sister is quite right with her observation, especially now when the weather is cold and all I can think about is going back to bed and sleep for hours. Thus, I am changing radio stations.

On to the upbeat sounds!

Hopefully, it’ll keep me awake until I finish my to-do list for today ;)

Happy weekend!
