Learning on my own

My uncle was laughing at me because I know more about electronics than any of the women in the family. I told him that growing up with several men (my dad, my brother who passed away, my uncles and numerous older cousins), that is not surprising anymore.

You see, I grew up with men who didn’t mollycuddle me. They let me learn on my own and I can safely say that it made me smarter than I could probably be. Even learning about electronics and other guy stuff. And I will forever be thankful to them for it.

Confused Woman

2009
06.28

Call me the CONFUSED WOMAN. Yes, that’s my new name! I am totally confused about going back to a life I once led. It’s pretty simple. If I go back, I would be subjecting myself to another round of headaches caused by too much pressure to beat deadlines. I once thrived in this kind of environment. And believe me, it didn’t do me any good except get to meet snakes along the way. It’s my fault. I never protected my back. I became complacent. I became too trustworthy. Which is a big no-no in the environment I was in. I digress.

Anyway, I am thinking of going back because I want to do some things for the family and the only way to do it is through going back. Or going out of the country. The former is an easier task to do. The latter’s a big hurdle.

The confusion comes in because whenever I ask for a sign, I was given otherwise.

So should I or should I not? That’s the million dollar question at the moment.

No to complacency!

Almost all my girl friends are interested in the nuphedra review I was telling them about. You see, almost all women I know are into dieting. Even one of my friends who is slim already is not being complacent. She’s already married, so I guess that explains her desire to always be on her ideal weight. She doesn’t want to give her husband a reason to look for another woman. Good! The single ones like me, are interested so as to look and feel good and be ready should the wedding bells toll.

Our cry? No to complacency! We should always be vigilant when it comes to weight issues.

Stakes are high.

Bingo is one of the favorite pastimes of some of our neighbors. I can hear them from where I am right now, playing bingo. I was told that there are days when the stakes are high and the prizes can go up to thousands of bucks. Yesterday, tv stands were the prizes given away. I was told also that this coming Sunday, LCD TV will be the grand prize. Imagine that! I was joking a few minutes ago, telling my sister that we should probably join. We just might win the grand prize. Who knows!

High blood pressure

Bad cholesterol leads to high blood pressure. Both my paternal grandparents are suffering from high blood pressure. When they went for a medical checkup, I accompanied them and was also told by the family doctor to lose weight or end up suffering from high blood pressure like the grandparents. He told me that the best diet pill can do wonders to my body weight and I should just couple it with regular exercise and healthy food so as to avoid sickness due to being overweight.

perezhilton

Just like any other gossip fan, I always read PerezHilton.com. Yes, that celebrity blog! Well, who wouldn’t? I mean, he knows how to dish out the latest Hollywood gossips. I also love how he injects humor and sarcasm in his posts. If you don’t watch out, you’ll get hooked in no time!

I read that he’s making so much money out of advertisements in his blog. Lucky Perez! If only I can make a blog just like that, I wouldn’t have to work as hard as I do. Then again, who wants to become as hated as he anyway?

Tough luck!

Loving the header, battle ahead

2009

Do you know why I chose this new theme for my blog? I love the header! I wish I am that sexy! I can’t even wear any fitting clothes because it will accentuate my bulges. Not muscles, body fats! Hehehe

I have been fighting a losing battle with my weight. I think only the best fat burner will have an effect on me. I’ve been exercising, dieting… I guess my aunt’s right after all. It might have something to do with our genes. Most women in our family, at least on the paternal side, are overweight, especially when they are 30 years old and above.

Working hard

2009
06.10

Some of my friends thought I just laze around all day long since I work at home. They didn’t know that I work harder than any of them. If you do consultancy work, bookkeeping and some online jobs, I don’t think lazing around will enter your mind. You always have deadlines to beat. You always have some little thing to take care of. Plus, if you are working at home, you tend to work more because in your mind, that would mean a bigger paycheck.

But, of course, there are days when my mind stops working and my body stops functioning. All I want to do is sleep or go out and have fun. My sister told me that she and her boyfriend are planning to go to Westgate and they are inviting the whole family. I have tons of work to do in the next coming weeks. I know that a day or two of total relaxation will do me a world of good. Might as well go, right?

I am Superwoman!

Your Superpower Should Be Manipulating Fire

You are intense, internally driven, and passionate.
Your emotions are unpredictable – and they often get the better of you.
Both radiant and terrifying, people are drawn to you.
At your most powerful, you feel like the world belongs to you.

Why you would be a good superhero: You are obsessive enough to give it your all

Your biggest problem as a superhero: Your moodiness would make it difficult to control your powers

Crush of the moment: Chris Pine

chrispine

I am currently crushing on Chris Pine ;) Yes, the Star Trek guy. My friend was boggled why I didn’t watch the movie when I am sooo into Chris at the moment. Well, I kinda don’t dig the movie. I am not much a Star Trek/Star Wars kinda girl. I like sci-fi but not that much. X-Files will do. Anyway, I’m blabbing already. I just love his eyes! The guy can look at you and make you melt on the spot! I just think he has a bad taste in women, though. I mean all those star-wannabes that he’s dated in the past and currently dating… blah! I’m here Chris! You shouldn’t have to look that far ;)
