Thinking Out Loud

We have some discount moving boxes that my sister got from a friend. Whenever I look at it, I always imagine the whole family frantically packing because we are going to move to our dream house. I am dreaming of doing that for the past few months now, eversince we saw the house that can be the one we all have in our dreams. It is located in a place that we also like. God willing, if we are meant to move there, something will come up.

I’m a big fan of Sitti Navarro. She is Philippine’s Queen of Bossa Nova. When she released her Café Bossa album before, I think I was one of the first few people who bought it. Para Sa Akin, one of the singles off the Café Bossa album is my favorite. One of my all-time favorites, in fact.

Sitti is releasing a new album very soon. The first single off the Is This Love album will be released this month. Can’t wait to hear it!

I am envious of a friend of mine who has his life in order. The last time we chatted over the phone, he told me that he already has his own condo unit, his finances in order, and ready to take on family life. I am still single and still struggling to make my life better. I am currently waiting for the life insurance rate from my agent so I can at least have that in order. I would want to have a condo of my own as well but it’ll have to wait. For now.

My cousin is enjoying in Vegas right now at the Stratosphere hotel. He went there for a business meeting but then a problem cropped up in the head office and his assistance was needed. As a thank you for the assistance he extended way beyond his scope of work, he was given a three-day stay at the hotel for free. Plus some pocket money. What a lucky dude!

I had to run an errand this morning to get the Delta fauctes that my boss left with a friend. I was actually pissed off with this errand because firstly, I had a report to finish for the CEO. Secondly, the weather is really gloomy since this morning. I went out of the house really early since it would have been nice to stay dry inside the office. And finally, running that errand is not part of my job! But then I just had to suck it up and do it for her. It’ll be performance appraisal by next month.

I have read somewhere that maintaining a journal, online or otherwise, is good for you. I do believe that a journal is good for a person’s mental well being. Consider this scenario: Hollie is the person we will be talking about. Hollie’s parents are always busy with work. Hollie is a loner and has few friends. She is a very private person and is not comfortable discussing her problems with others. Who does she talk to? To whom will she pour out her feelings? A journal can serve that purpose!

I know that a journal is a poor substitute for a parent or a friend. But then, at least there is an outlet for poor Hollie, don’t you think?

I told my dad and my uncles that they should check out some colon cleansers. They drink and eat heavily at times and I worry about their colon. You know how men are more susceptible to colon cancer. And at this day and age, you cannot discount the possibility of anything happening to each one of us. Think of the rare diseases popping out of thin air every day.
