Comfy seating

If only I have the cash to buy one, I would have gone ahead and bought home theatre seating. To save money, I watch movies when they come out in DVDs or at HBO. That’s why I want to have comfy seating at home. To give the place a feeling of being in a theatre. Well, I still have my squashy chair with me so that will do for now.

Errands

In all honesty, I feel tired all the time lately. Just yesterday, my uncle asked me a favor if I can help him get some ball lock pins. Much as I wanted to say yes to him, I politely refused and told him that I couldn’t do it. I normally say yes to errands asked from me by relatives. But when I am not feeling well enough to do it, I would tell them straight away that I can’t. Better be honest about it, right?

Rust

We didn’t know that the patio furniture in the countryside is now half-eaten by rust. We were not told about it. Had we known right away, rust would not have spread that much on the furniture. We are now left with nothing to do but replace it. There will be a party by next month at the countryside home and my uncles are thinking of cleaning the place up and repairing or replacing what needs to be repaired or replaced.

The one that slipped away

Whenever I see valentines day roses, I remember that time we were still together. He was the one that will forever be etched in my mind. The one that slipped away…

He swept me off my feet. Calling me her princess even before we became a couple. Smiling at me sweetly. Calling to check if I already ate. He was one of the best guys I’ve met.

I never knew what went wrong exactly. One day we were so in love with each other. The next day, he was packing his things already. No more kisses. No more cuddles. No more sweet smiles. Just the bittersweet memories left with me.

Valentine's Day gift

Still thinking of that gift to your special someone this Valentine’s Day? How about showing your love through a Patek Philippe watch? Lovely! I know that it’s hard to think of a gift, especially when you are short of time. So I am giving you this suggestion. What do you think?

I would love to receive something that I can use daily. Your special someone might be like that, too. So go and check out the Patek Philippe watch for your love.

Forgotten

I was cleaning my drawer yesterday when I saw this membership card I got for a spa that I already forgot and have expired now. Too bad I wasn’t able to use it. When I got that, I probably just put it inside my drawer for safekeeping. Then I completely forgot about it. It would have given me discounts for spa treatments and all that. Sigh.

My sanctuary

Time to check out the sleep number bed that a friend of mine is telling me about. The one I have right now is already lumpy and uncomfortable. Sleep is a luxury for me so I make sure that my bedroom is my sanctuary. My bed is an item in it that will aid me in my quest for relaxation. So I will be off to get a new bed this weekend.

Housewarming party

I will be attending a housewarming party this coming Saturday. I thought of giving Votive candle holders because the homeowner is quite fond of scented candles. Another friend told me that she will be bringing a bottle of champagne. Another one will be giving a lamp. And we’ve been hearing numerous other useful items that other friends will also be giving the newly weds. At the rate things are going, their new condo unit will surely be filled with necessary items without them shelling out money.

Relocation adjustment

A friend relocated to another city a couple of months ago. She is working for another branch of their company. She is fine with the relocation, adjusting easily to the new environment. One of the first things that she purchased is a tankless water heater. The water in that city is ice cold all the time. She tried taking a bath using the water as is and her head felt like it was sliced open with a chunk of ice. She never tried again after that.

An alternative to work

So many people I know are worried about their current jobs. With the crisis all over the world and most businesses closing, stress level is so high. I suggest that instead of being stressed about it and worrying all the time, why not check out small business opportunities that can be an alternative once work is not there anymore? That can be a good way to prepare for any eventuality, don’t you think? Not a one time, big time business. But start with a small one that you can really finance and see through in the long run.
