Nigella and her meals

2008
10.29

I am busy watching Nigella Bites. I love cooking shows, especially those that shows home cooking. Nigella comes across as someone who is truly passionate about what she does. You can see her genuine love for what she does with her body language. And the meals that she cooks are really home cooking that you and your family would enjoy.

Anyway, before I get so engrossed with Nigella and her cooking, I have to take a look at mortgage protection insurance first. My aunt is asking me about it.

Back up your files now!

My cousin encountered a problem with her laptop last week. It got a deadly virus that corrupted her hard drive. It was really sad considering she forgot to back up her files before it happened. Well, as you might have guessed, she lost all her files! This is the reason why I have three memory cards on standby all the time. I don’t have to remind you to back up. Do it now! Just like what I did a couple of minutes ago.

Blackheads

2008
10.20

I was talking to my sister last night and I was so distracted by the blackhead I found on her right cheek. It made me want to get the blackhead remover and get it out of her! We will be going to the dermatologist by next week to have our monthly facial treatments. When you go to the office daily, commuting using public vehicles, the dirt on the road clings to your face. Thus the blackheads.

Cutting on the diet

I feel bloated after I eat. According to my doctor, it’s indigestion. Sigh. I would have to eat more slowly and cut down on some food. Actually, I am overweight and I really need to be able to lose weight. I am checking out some diet programs that might be suitable for me. I go out a lot and I can’t go on some of the diets I found. Also, I am checking out some products my friends told me about. I found orovo detox and I am not sure if this applies to me. But I will definitely be going on a diet right away.

On the road with irresponsible drivers

Navigating through the horrible traffic in the metro is really an amazing feat. Buses and trucks cut in front of you, inconsiderate of the accident that might happen. Just yesterday, I almost bumped the car, a Jaguar I might add, because a mini truck cut in front of me unexpectedly. I was so furious! Imagine the damage it could have caused! That truck driver should go back to truck driving school if I have a say on it. I wish drivers could be more responsible when on the road. Not everyone has the ability to maneuver easily. What if my reflexes were off? Imagine the cost of the damage my car would have done to the Jaguar!

Trip to Singapore by December

2008
10.20

There will be a trip to Singapore by December for me. I am already saving enough money to cover the airfare, hotel accommodation, meals, transportation, shopping expenses as well as the travel insurance. The last one is really important. I would not go on that trip without an insurance to back me up. I am positive nothing bad will happen but well, you just never know. The hotel accommodation I have to share with my friend. Now that’s less expense for me.

Unexpected gifts

2008

I bet your friend or someone close to you would get a kick out of receiving talking watches. It will be a unique gift, something others won’t surely think of giving. Thanks to a couple of my friends who love sending me text messages of gift ideas. I also got this idea of giving out cut-out paintings. Another unique idea from a friend of mine who does it. Imagine looking at a supposedly painting but finding out you are actually looking at cut-outs formed a certain way. Unique!

Cravings

My sister and I love to eat. If you see us, that would be obvious from the onset. We love trying out different recipes. She cooks while I cheer her on! Hehe… So the other day, we were checking egg nog recipes because we are craving for some egg nogs. We got stuck with searching for different recipes that we ended up buying instead of doing it ourselves. It was delicious! Now, we are craving for mud pies. Yum!
