Trapped!

Aug 31st, 2008 Posted in Random Thoughts | Comments off

At home, we use moth traps to make sure our kitchen is free from this household pest. We are very particular with these things. Cleanliness. Most especially in the kitchen where food is being prepared.

I remember my sister buying all sort of mouse traps just to make sure our kitchen is free from the vermins. It was hilarious! Are you like that at home? Do you also trap pests to get rid of them or do you hire professionals to do it for you?

Incident

Gino had an accident the other day. It was a big car spare part that came crashing down on him. Good thing that it only landed on his thigh. It could have crushed a vital part of his body and would have incapacitated him. But it didn’t and he is thankful for that.

That incident made him think of the future. Especially now that he has two kids. As a friend, I told him that he could get a term life insurance. This is a classic example of preparing for the future. Should something bad happened, he would have something to leave his family behind. It’s morbid but that’s the way life goes.

Movie marathons

We love Friday night movie marathons. This is our way of bonding and spending quality time with each other. I love laughing and crying along with my family. My dad even mentioned it would be good to check out popcorn machines so we have one at home. Hmm… Sounds like a good idea, dad!

How else would you spend an hour or so of good movie without popcorns, right? :)

New car insurance

A car insurance is definitely a must for your car, whether it is a brand new or used one. Cho just bought a new car and it came with a car insurance already. Good for her actually! No need for her to get quotes and compare before getting the one that she can really afford. That decision was taken away from her. It somehow eliminated the opportunity for her to dilly-dally in getting an insurance, don’t you think?

Rants and raves

Hero has been going on and on about his new business. I am excited for him, yes. But there is a limit to the number of exclamations he could shout in front of me. It’s irritating. I actually told him that. After a few days, he is back to his rants and raves. He even said something about authorize.net that held my interest far more than his other rants and raves. Some people can be insensitive to your feelings. They don’t care if you have better things to do than listen to their rants and raves.
